What I'm asking for is donations of art. In what ever medium you feel most comfortable with. You can have as much or as little detail as you'd like. There's no limits on this at all. There will be more about the creature I'd like art of below.
First a little back ground about this project, the idea came from my Service Dog. He's a Psychiatric SD and together we've become a big part of education for the public about breaking the mental health stigma and education the public about Service Dogs. We will be going to schools, we've done some radio interviews and we've got an interview with a magazine in the works at the moment. It's about about the education and fun for us. Through our facebook page we've had some wonderful feed back, shared, loved, laughed and cried with you all on journey. You can find his page here www.facebook.com/MusaTheMarvelousSD please feel free to check it out, like it, share it, most of all ENJOY it!
I wanted a nice simple logo for the page and ended up with this tatty little purple, yellow and lime green awareness butterfly. Here's some examples of art that's been donated so far-
The bulk of the arts will be found in the folder here www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.603206339789716.1073741858.421214167988935&type=3
Now this little creature has been through more than a few battles, some of which it didn't even know it was fighting in. Left with a few scares and holes, it now likes to follow around people and Service Dogs as a gentle reminder that you're never alone. Such a beautiful tiny fragile creature made it through all the battles, so can you ♥Hold on to that hope, you're never alone.
The project is based around that, "you're never alone". With mental health your brain has an uncanny way of sucking you into a black spiral, making you feel like the world would be better with out you. Like no one cares. Like you'll never get better.
There's no doubt it's a hard journey and you'll loose people you thought you could trust along the way. It does get better though! I'm hoping to make one huge banner to hang in front of the desk we set up when we go to fundraising events and educational outings, showing all of the people who've taken the time to donate a little of their talent. This is a project about letting others know, they're not alone. As well as letting YOU know you're not alone. Coming together from around the world and being apart of one big beautiful banner. One big beautiful project, showing each other just how many people are thinking of you.
My really big goal will be to turn Tatty butterfly into a patch that people can sew onto their Service Dog vests, or little buttons that you can pin on your bags, maybe even get some stickers, just get the message out there! Every time someone looks down at their little Tatty butterfly they'll think of all the other people that donated their beautiful art and know they're not alone
So if you're interested in helping, please send me a note or comment below with your art work! Thank you very much to those who do choose to donate a little something. Where possible I'll do my best to give out some points or a little dosh as a thank you, but 99% of my money is going on Musa at the moment. So there's not always funds to spare.
Thanks for reading! Love Lucy and Musa xxx
